DO NOT USE OR INQUIRE GREEN DOT SERVICES!!! TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE AND RESOURCES!!! I had opened an account with Green Dot. I receive my card in the mail, when I tried to activate it I was told there was no social security number on this account and it was an old account, that it must be closed out. I was PROMISED my $10 check in the mail on Feb 9th. On Feb 10th the had accepted my IRS Federal Refund, ON MY CLOSED ACCOUNT. The IRS and a Green Dot representative had assure me that my refund would be denied to be deposited to this account and Id receive it as a check in the mail from the IRS. Now approx a month after closing my account I am dealing with the issue of waiting another TWO WEEKS on a promised check which I feel I will never receive of my $10 which was suppose to be received a week ago, BUT AS WELL as my Federal Tax Refund that they accepted on my CLOSED ACCOUNT! They have terrible customer service and do not understand this domino effect is due to their wrong doings. Now I must WAIT 2-3 business days for a Coorprate manager to call me about this URGENT matter. I assure you they are not reliable, nor do they take your money as a priority.
